English (vertaal deze tekst in Nederlands): Interesting dive - very dense freshwater plants growing up in large clumps from the bottom to the surface - much like kelp. I believe its blatterwort. You literally have to find channels threw it which is a really cool experience. On the bottom are more crawfish than you can count, everywhere.
Very shallow, great for buoyancy practice.
Bottom is extremely soft mud, but due to all the plants little silting with dense root systems.
Gradually gets deeper as you make your way out of the very protected lagoon. Usually the warmest part of the lake since its shallow and warms more easily.
Name is a misnomer - yes very soft mud bottom but surprisingly clear though heavy alga concentration. Good amount of fish too.

My dive - the water felt really good

Door Anonymous , 07-07-2010

02-July-2010 - Dove here with my wife after reading original posters review. Plant life makes for interesting visuals, as well as some neat topography over which to practice bouyancy without stirring up the mud. Lots of crawdads in the vegetation (some of the biggest I've ever seen in a Utah lake). Found the remnants of what looked like a boat fire (melted tackle box full of lures, large Cabela's collapsing fishing net, slightly blackened rod and reel, burned clothing, etc). Mud on the bottom is very soft and deep (easily able to sink my arm up past the wrist with minimal force). Wind kicked up a bit while we were down, causing a slight outward current, but not bad. Pretty shallow dive which is nice since you can stay down for quite a while and drag out your air supply. A deep crevice from where the creek had cut into the mud during the recent low water years, winding its way out to the lake. I would love to dive here again, need a bigger goodie bag next time!
