 Aanvullende informatie

English (vertaal deze tekst in Nederlands): As the name implicates, you will find a mass of amphora parts there. Unfortunately intact amphoras are not amongst. Immediately right hand of the amphora field, with origin at Catal Ada, a small reef is going sloping into the sea.
Usually the dive boat will anchor left of the reef, directly above the amphora field which is a depth between 3-8m. There are assumptions that in ancient times a ship was anchoring in a similar way, while a storm came up and threw it against the island where it was shattered.

For diving I recommend to leave the amphoras unattended in the beginning of the dive and to follow the reef into the depth. The reef is going down to nearly 50m and it is really nice encrusted. While descending, between big rocks a huge amount of marine life is to be found. Later on the area of the amphorafield, because it is directly under the boat, is the perfect location for to empty your tank, while doing your deco or an extended safety stop.
